I am going to enable a paid subscription option, but my essays will remain free and open for all.
As many of you know, when I began writing about wokeness and postmodernism I did so using twitter. It was there that I wrote long, detailed threads explaining what “postmodernism” was, and how philosophical postmodernism had been fused with critical theory to create Critical Social Justice (AKA wokeness). I began writing as a labor of love. My goal was to help everyday people cut through the dense academic jargon and unfair tactics of wokeness so they could see how wokeness was tearing apart western civilization, and doing so while claiming to be pursuing justice and fairness. To use an analogy from my friend Mike Nayna, if wokeness were a cereal the picture on the box would would look nothing like what is actually inside the box. I wanted to show people the postmodernism and critical theory that was actually inside the box.
I have enjoyed every minute of the work that I have done, and I am eternally grateful to all the people who saw my work and helped amplify my signal to where I now have 115,000+ followers. With that said, this effort has been time intensive and very difficult. I now research and explain Critical Social Justice (wokeness), postmodernism, and critical theory full time and I would like to expand my capacity to fight against these things.
For that reason, I am going to make a paid subscription option available for those of you who find my work helpful and wish to support my efforts.
When I began this substack I promised keep my essays free and open to all. I will continue to do this; none of my essays will be behind a paywall. I will keep writing threads on twitter, and I will keep writing essays here, and all of that will continue to be available for free. I want to make sure that the explanations that I give in my essays and threads can be spread easily and shared widely, and making sure they are free and open to all is the best way to do that.
I realize that my essays here and my twitter threads on wokeness are the only reason people pay attention to my work, and I know that making them available for free means there is very little incentive for anyone to subscribe. Why pay for something that is free? Some might say that it is unfair to expect people to fund my efforts purely out of the goodness of their hearts.
With that in mind I want to make sure people who get paid subscriptions get some additional value for their dollars. So…
I am putting together a video series where I teach postmodernism, critical theory, and wokeness through a series of lectures aimed at regular people. When I am able to make that happen, I will post those lectures here make them available to paid subscribers first. I also plan to make available a series of Q and A videos where I will answer questions from paid subscribers. I will do this either via live stream or a recorded video of me answering questions from paid subscribers via email.
I hope this strikes a good balance between making sure the thing I am known for (twitter threads and essays) remain free, and making sure paid subscribers get value for their money.
I appreciate everyone who has followed my work thus far, and I am grateful to anyone who is willing to support me now.
Thank you for reading, thank you for subscribing, and thank you for all your support.
Sincerely,
@wokal_distance

I would happily pay for all your threads in a book format - as that is more convenient to refer to at need. I'm also very happy to help you self-publish this (creating an epub from your word document and helping you with keywords) and cover all your costs (eg book cover, ISBN). You can contact me at actuarialtutoruk at gmail if this would be something you'd be interested in.
All the best
