In my last two essays I set about trying to give an account of what “deconstruction” is as it has been picked up and used by woke activists in our current cultural context. I gave a brief primer on what deconstruction is and how it is used. The idea I wanted to drive home is that the way that while deconstruction originated in the very dense and difficult philosophy of Jacques Derrida it has metabolized into the culture in a very specific way, and it is now used as a method of attacking the meaning of concepts, arguments, messaging, communication, and ideas that go against the woke vision of social justice.
I believe another term often associated with what Sarchett and others do when deconstructing something is "Word Salad". Until learning more about Deconstruction and Post Modernism I simply referred to examples of what Sarchett does here as word salad non-sense.
Very promising articles here, Substack's growing community of authors delivers the kind of original thinking I've been looking for in vain on traditional news sites...
The intent of these people seems to be to cause Mass confusion, which I imagine is to implement their own bizarre philosophies. If they can confuse the public enough, people will have no idea what is going on and will be unable to push back or even to say no.
I am wondering if a ‘if you can’t beat them join them’ approach will work. How specifically do we use these arguments, strategies, & ideology against them?
I’ve found your essays on this topic very interesting as I have a brother who has spent his entire life arguing/living in this manner. We think of him as a kind of Marvel super villain whose power is entropy. Everything he comes near dissembles and turns to chaos. In recent years, many have speculated that he has Asperger’s or is on the Spectrum. (We did not have those diagnosis available when he was younger.) I’m wondering if there’s a connection between Wokeism and Autism?
Derrida (and Foucault to a lesser extent), repackaged the Ancient Greek sophist’s deliberate fallacious reasoning, intellectual charlatanism and moral unscrupulousness. I see nothing original or compelling in his body of work. If one were simple enough to be swayed by this unsophisticated stupidity, they might find themselves convinced that women have penis’ and men can get be pregnant...

Thanks for this - yep seems their unexpressed slogan is 'sillify to villify'!
Obvs you meant we 'say' (not 'way') 'think of the children' .... not much compassionate wisdom in woke grifting .... let alone active safeguarding and caring .... or dare I say it? Love.
I found a Critical Theory paper that has, in almost perfectly distilled form, an example of why CRT is so terrible: https://ashleybrookslawrence.medium.com/the-perfect-microcosm-for-all-that-is-wrong-with-crt-389528f2e884
It's their own words, their own narrative. They lay out directly how they spread the poison.

Good essay, as always.
Postmodernism is so dumb that even a computer can generate an essay on the subject and maybe even pass muster at some freshman level class:
